opsi-linux-agent use: modify opsi_depot share
Verfasst: 13 Mai 2016, 16:32
For all users of the opsi-linux support
(all users that are using opsi to maintain their Linux machines)
Due to a bug in samba (smbd) it is possible that in combination wit mount.cifs
copy operations from the opsi_depot share are never ending (unitl the file system is full).
To avoid this problem, please remove the following lines
form the opsi share definitions (especially opsi_depot)
in the /etc/samba/smb.conf of your opsi servers:
------------------
oplocks = no
level2 oplocks = no
-----------------
Restart your smbd afterwards.
These changes are also useful for the Windows clients
and will be the future default.
cheers
