Hallo!

Trotzdem ich das syslinux-downgrade versucht habe erhalte ich weiterhin die im Betreff genannte meldung.
Auch nach dem Update aus dem Experimental-Repository erhalte ich weiterhin diesen Fehler.

Weitere Möglichkeiten um einen PXE-Boot inkl. Installation lauffähig zu bekommen?

Nachdem ich das Experimental-Repo als letztes versucht habe habe ich nun das bootimage drauf...
Davor hatte ich die aktuelle via aptitude update && aptitude upgrade.

Das riecht nach 'altem' NetBoot-Produkt.
Es glaubt mir zwar keiner, aber ältere NetBoot-Produkte mögen aktuelle boot images nicht.

Also mal beherzt ein opsi-product-updater laufen lassen.

Jaa, moment! Da hätte ich jetzt eigentlich selbst drauf kommen können. Jetzt mal von win7-x64 4.0.4-1 auf 4.0.6.2-3 gepatched. Morgen mal probieren ... danke schon mal!

1. Ja es liegt am alten Netbboot Produkt. diese werden standarmäßig nicht durch den product updater upgedatet.

2. Sofern Du nur Windows ausrollen willst past das Bootimage vom 13 April. Aber sobald ein 64Bit Bpootimage benutzt werden soll steigt der TFTP aus. Das 64Bot Bootimage ist ein paar kB zu groß

Für das volle Opsi Erlebnis empfehle ich das Bootimage aus Stable doer Testing. Die Versionen sind identisch

Isn't it an idea to start working with iPXE? First chainload iPXE via PXE/TFTP and then via iPXE to HTTP, or something else. This would get rid of the size limit.

ja es ist eine Option. Wir haben auch schon darüber nachgedacht. Genauso wie über das Thema den TFTP-Server komplett zu wechseln. Und fehlte bisher leider immer die Zeit dazu. Vielleicht gehen wir das mal in einer der nächsten größeren Releases an.

Ja, das Problem wurde durch ein "opsi-product-updater -i win7-x64 -vv" gelöst.

Don't have all tftp servers have similar limitations.. well, because, it's tftp.. It's not called 'trivial' for nothing
