opsi-configserver without local depot

Is it still possible to install an opsi-configserver without a local depot?

I found this document: https://svn.opsi.org/opsidoc/trunk/en/c ... t.asciidoc
".Scheme: opsi config server without attached depot server (single location)"

But this seems a little bit outdated. If I would install opsi-depotserver I will have a local depot, and that's just the thing I don't want. Can I somehow turn it off?

Well, I have set up an opsi depot server, and was wondering if I can set up a opsi config server that only handles the config tasks.

The depot share of the config server in this image is not used. With multiple depots I use the opsi-package-manager with "-d all", which also uploads it to the depot on the config server. So can I install the config server without a local depot share or can I turn it off somehow?

Not much clearer, eh?

Hi,

the config server is always a depot.
This is required i.e. so that when we are adding a new client it is assigned to the config server.
But you do not need to use it as depot and could only install files on your other depots.
