Hi,
When I try to pxeboot Windows 7 I receive an error after the message " setup is starting"
It says "a required device driver for a cd/dvd is missing"
This happens with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
Anyone has an idea?
I had it working until a NAS crashed.
Completly reinstalled Opsi server. Used same installations as before
When I set winpenetworkmode to "False" everything goes well.
It looks like "install.wim" is not copied
With regards,
Kees...

Re: Required device driver dvd/cd missing
Hello Kees,
seems like you are missing a network driver inside your winpe.
Did you create a new winpe?
With kind regards
Niko

Re: Required device driver dvd/cd missing
Hi Niko,
Yes, i did update my winpe.
And i use same installation images. The testsystem i use is an older system (Dell E6510). Allways worked on all my winpe's
I use Ubuntu 14.04.3
Could that be the problem?

Re: Required device driver dvd/cd missing
Hi Kees,
You could make sure that smb is configured properly and restart the service.
With kind regards
Niko

Re: Required device driver dvd/cd missing
Hi Niko,
This really drives me crazy
I tried with a new winpe, and also used the excisting winpe.
Neither of them worked. Copied winpe from work, for Windows 7, 8.1, and 10.
I configred a new opsi server, but that also didn't do the trick.
I even tried an image from work (this is private overhere) also didn't work.
Copied from working server at work smb.conf, also doesn't work.
By the way : After hardware check and the reboot, i don't see the window in which it will try to mount the server. It runs to starting setup without the dos box!
With regards,
Kees....
