Problem with depot-server

hello,

I just installed a second server "Opsi" (slave) as depot-server of the first (master): a priori everything went well because I see it appear in the web interface.
Now I would like to add a "client" and then I can not do that if I create it directly on the "slave" server (with opsi-admin -d method host_createOpsiClient) the "client" is created on the server "master"!
If I try to create it via the web interface, same ... if I try to change the "clientconfig.depot.id" it does not take into account.

Did I forget to do something or did I not understand the method?

Best Regards.

Hello,

I find the good method : you have to register the new client in the "master" depot and then you can move it to the "slave" via the "configed" interface...

Best regards.

Hello,

Clients are created on the config server by default.
Moving is possible by setting the configstate clientconfig.depot.id.
This is also be possible through the commandline.

What call did you use to try to change it?

With kind regards

Niko

Hello,

I'm not using the command line : I try using the configed interface (in french interface by the tab "Réseau et paramètres supplémentaires" / clientconfig.depot.id)... with no result ! If I use the option (in french) ""Bouger les clients sélectionnés vers un nouveau dépôt" (right clic on the client in the tab"Client selection") it's work.

Thank's.

Hello,

so then I misunderstood your problem.
Currently you have to move the clients manually.

I will talk to the configed developer if this behaviour will be changed.
EDIT: Talked to him. This feature was missing from the current configed and will see it's return in one of the next releases. In the meantime you can use this standalone version from experimental that should have this feature.

With kind regards
