Problems installing opsi in Centos with python version

Hello,

I'm trying to install opsi on a Centos Server 6.0, but this OS has the python 2.6 version installed by default and Opsi requires the version 2.4 to install dependencies. I installed python 2.4 in other directory (/opt/pyhton2.4) and changed the alias, so the command "python -V" returns Python 2.4.6.

However, I have to install opsi with yum repository and it takes its own python version, the 2.6. I don't think I could remove the 2.6 and install 2.4 instead. Has anyone experienced these problems before?

Hi,

opsi needs: python >= 2.4... We don't know anything about problems with centos 6.

Which repository from opsi did you use for installation?

Hi,

I followed the instructions in the installation manual, and I added the file /etc/yum.repos.d/opsi40.repo with the content

[opsi4]
name=opsi4.0 for RHEL/ CentOS $releasever - $basearch
baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... _CentOS-5/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... md.xml.key

I tried also modifying the CentOS version, I replaced "CentOS-5" with "CentOS-6" but it didn't work!

This is the result when I try to install opsi with yum install opsi-depotserver {opsi-configed} .
