Using Cloned Images Clients Have Wrong Key
Verfasst: 18 Mär 2011, 04:17
I have an existing working setup.
I periodically need to reset all the clients to the latest baseline configuration.
I use TRK/MCclone to clone the drives using multi-cast.
The clients have two issues after cloned. 1) the computer name is wrong 2) the opsi client agent has the wrong keys for that box.
I am looking for a way to update the key automagically and reboot so I can then use opsi to run a package to change the computer name and reboot. Then I would be all set to rock and roll.
can I run opsi-deploy-client-agent even when the computers have the wrong computer name (but right IP based on MAC)?
I can then run a package that will change the computer name and reboot via opsi.
also, it looks like opsi-deploy-client-agent can only be executed by opsiconfd. The group is pcpatch, but the permissions are 760. Is that correct?
