Dear opsi community,

we are pleased to announce the official release of the latest version of opsi today.

The March 2026 release of OPSI mainly includes bug fixes.

IMPORTANT for all environments using custom Python scripts and JSON-RPC extenders (`/etc/opsi/backendManager/extend.d`):
The Python package `OPSI` has been renamed to `opsi_legacy`.
If modules from this package are used, imports may need to be adjusted accordingly.

opsi-client-agent
All dependencies used by opsiclientd have been updated to the latest versions.
In Windows 11, ongoing Windows updates are now reliably detected.

opsi-package-manager
A bug has been fixed where the specified temporary directory was not always used.

opsiconfd
Several bugs have been fixed in opsiconfd and all dependencies have been updated.
Please also note the information above regarding the Python package `OPSI` if you are using custom extensions in `/etc/opsi/backendManager/extend.d`.

Netboot Products Windows VHD
In the packages `opsi-vhd-win10-x64` and `opsi-vhd-win11-x64`, exit code 2 is now ignored when executing `sgdisk --clear`.

opsi-configed
The new version of opsi-configed fixes some known bugs:
  • Inline-breaks in markdown
  • Execute in build package and opsi-package-updater
  • Nullpointer-Exception in license management
opsi-script
opsi-script includes some minor bug fixes and new OpenSSL libraries (3.0.19)

Dear opsi community,

we are pleased to announce the official release of the latest version of opsi today.

The new opsiconfd fixes the issue where the packaged Python 3.14 had compiled
the library libpython3.14.so.1.0 to require an executable stack (missing NX flag),
which could cause a loading error on some systems.
