Newbie getting started

Hi,

Just got OPSI installed and am running through the "next steps" in the install guide.
I'm installed on Ubuntu 22.04 and can access the web gui as well as the thick client.
I want to run the depot on the same server, and I see the command in the install guide (opsiconfd setup --register-depot) , but I'm not clear on the answers to the questions.

I figured I would ask before I got something wrong and needed to revert.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

there is no need to run

Code: Alles auswählen

 opsiconfd setuo --register-depot

on the opsi-server as it it also a depot.

You only would have to run this on another opsi instance if it should be a depot of another opsi-server

Maybe:

If the server is designated to function as an opsi depot server, it’s essential to register it on the opsi config server.

Should read:

If the server is designated to function as an additional opsi depot server, it’s essential to register it on the opsi config server.

Or something like that.
