Heres my append from the install file

append initrd=miniroot.bz2 video=vesa:ywrap,mtrr vga=791 quiet splash lang=en

I have also made the change to the host parameter. But the opsi linux bootimage still appears in German.

ok - yes - if you start the bootimage from the pxe menu, you have to change the append line in the
/tftpboot/linux/pxelinux.cfg/default.menu
