Ther result of "update" is that now not even boot any more. Fortunately I've made an backup before updating.
Any other idea how to update Opsi server from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3?
Thanks!

when executing updated of ubuntu, it asked me to update GRUB2. But when rebooting, it reports some problems regarding GRUB2.
Nevermind. After this I downloaded OPSI4.0.3 and try to run that version.
On first boot booting stopspfor few seconds with messasage "waiting for network configuraton", and wfter ubuntu starts normaly.
But when I made firstboot settings on OPSI and reboot Ubuntu, booting stops on "waiting for network configuration" and won't go on with booting.
Somebody got same problem with Ubuntu 12.4 and OPSI 4.0.3?
Thank you!

Peter

Hello PeterZ,
I have test servers running with Ubuntu 12.04 and they work totally fine - even after upgrading and rebooting.
Even without getting valid network information from possibly existing DHCP server on your network they should continue to boot.
Do any further messages appear on the screen?
Diagnosing such problems is much easier for you and us with a

Hello N Weneselowski
I thing that the issue is in "Guest Additions" of VirtualBox.
Now I set up OPSI 4.0.3 server without installing "Guest Additions" and it works fine!
I successfuly installed Windows7-x64, Windows8-x64 and Office2010 on virtual clients.
No I will do clone of working server and try again to install "Guest Additions". but I'm quite sure, that after installation Ubuntu won't work any more.
The only thing which I need to fix is, that even if I've changed language format from de-DE to en-US in "Configuratin for client" menu of netboot product win7-x64 and win8-x64 in OPSI, both OS boots in German language.
Best regards,
Peter Zvab

Please inform us of your findings. I think this could be a possible problem for many people that want to run OPSI in a VM and I'd like to be aware of it.

Is everything (Copying of data, the installation itself and the installed OS )in German or just specific parts?
Kind regards

Hi everyone,
1. About issue with "Guest Additions" I will report as soon as install them. But first I must finish with "working" OPSI. Of course I want to save someone's time by shareing my findings.
2. Only part of languages is in German :
- keyboard
- icons on desktop
- some icons on applications menu (desktop)
3. and newest issue, setup of Windows 8x86, stops in window, where it asks about language, time format and location. Bu all settings are set to English, so you just need to press ENTER and setup goes on. I try to change unattend.xml file with working one from win7x64, but no luck.

Peter
