Apologies I was following the getting started + manual but clearly I lost my way or skipped a vital part. Thanks guys.

I've had same problem accessing opsi_depot share (installing opsi on centos). I've solved it by editing /etc/samba/smb.conf

Under [opsi_depot] I have changed path to

path = /opt/pcbin/install

default was "path=/var/lib/opsi/depot" - which is a link

and restarted samba.
