@uncle_scrooge, it's exactly what I have already done.
I built a clean WinPE and then extend it with Dell WinPE 3.0.
Just want to mention that this WinPE works for others Dell models.
I followed the manual way, from step
"%ProgramFiles%\Windows AIK\Tools\PETools\copype.cmd" <ARCH> C:\winpe
I was just a matter of copy/paste and replace <ARCH> by amd64. I'm pretty confident that all steps were done properlly.
Regarding the work.cmd file, the file is not copied correctly in the WinPE partition.
I checked dsim.log and the console and didn't find any errors.
WINPE : the system cannot find the drive specified
Re: WINPE : the system cannot find the drive specified
Hi aellert,
in the OS product you're trying to install, there is a property switch (bottom right) that lets you switch off 'winpenetworkmode' .
Default is true, meaning the PE will copy the OS install files directly from depot to the client disk.
Now, if you switch to false, the opsi-linux-bootimage will copy all windows install files to the client drive (+PE, of course), and then the PE will install locally, not needing any network drivers at this point. use primarily for diagnosis, as it increases installation time .
Just for understanding: integrating new drivers into the opsi OS depot (./create-driver-links.py) can also lead to resolving the problem, because drivers that are being copied to the client will be tried as PE drivers too.

Re: WINPE : the system cannot find the drive specified
@ngbr I tried with winpenetworkmode = false but still no IP an no C: drive.
Same error at the same step
Same error at the same step

Re: WINPE : the system cannot find the drive specified
I just tried to manually reinstall Windows using Dell Recovery image...and disk is still not found !
I'm pretty sure it's not an OPSI problem here.
Nvm, I will keep you updated.

Re: WINPE : the system cannot find the drive specified
Finally, I got everything working properlly
FYI, this is what I did :
1. Patch WinPE (boot.wim) to include https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2990941 as it adds NVMe support to Windows 7 (I used Method 1)
2. Add Samsung NVMe driver to WinPE. Downloaded from HP web site (http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/publ ... k_149537_1) because (don't ask me why) it was unavailable on Dell website and not present in WinPE 3.0 driver pack.
Thanks to everybody that try to help me !
