Hello All:
I'm working on getting an opsi server running to handle computers at the K-12 school district I work at. I've been getting through different aspects of it but have run into a roadblock that I'm not sure how to get past...
When performing a pxe netboot it does not seem to be picking up the full configuration -- it looks like the opsi boot cd -- I get a "Configuration incomplete" dialogue box and "Client hostname" and "Config-server (opsiconfd)" are completed.
Any ideas where to look?
Thanks,
Brent

Re: PXE Netboot - Configuration Incomplete
Are you setting up a netboot from configed?
You might want to look at this post: viewtopic.php?p=25141#p25141
There it is explained how to modify the PXE configuration so you only need to fill in the client hostname.
Setting the netboot action from configed is easier from my point of view, and you can also choose memtest which is not available otherwise.

Re: PXE Netboot - Configuration Incomplete
Hello bbain,
what version of the netboot-product are you running and what version of opsi do you use?
Can you post one of your bootimage logfiles, please? These do hold information about what data gets send to the client - and one should be able to figure out if something in there is missing.
Also have a look at the post SisterOfMercy postet as this could help fix your problem.
With kind regards
Niko
