unable to import to vmware sphere.

i getting this error anyone can advise when i importing vmdk file into this virtual machine.

An unexpected error was received from the ESX host while powering on VM vm-536.
Module DevicePowerOn power on failed.
Unable to create virtual SCSI device for scsi0:1, '/vmfs/volumes/5050c05c-18726161-457a-002185ceb921/vmdkfile/opsidemo/opsidemo.vmdk'
Failed to open disk scsi0:1: Unsupported or invalid disk type 7. Ensure that the disk has been imported.

You might want to try using VMWare Converter first to get the VM 'understandable' for ESX(i).
