Switch to Mysql backend question
Switch to Mysql backend question
I was looking through some forum posts and got the idea that I could use the mysql backend without using the licences management module as it not something we currently really have a need for. I was wondering if this is possible as I think we are going to use OPSI in production but we have 500+ computers that will be managed by OPSI and would like the best performance. I want to stay within OPSI rules but I was just not finding a clear answer on this.
Re: Switch to Mysql backend question
Hi,
there is no problem to use the mysql-backend without buying the license management.
You just have to buy (cofund) the mysql-backend.
It is a little bit confusing (I know) that, if you buy the license management, you may use the mysql backend to handle the license data (and only the license data) without buying the mysql-backend.
