thanks - i filed a bug in our internal bug tracker that the HW-Inventory inside the bootimage hangs on proxmox clients.

I am trying to reproduce your problem.
Unluckily I did not yet succeed.
We are running Proxmox 3.0.
Are you still running Proxmox 2.2 or did you upgrade to 3.0?
Could you give me some more information about how your virtual machine is configured (what HW and what OS type), please?
