Installing Windows 7 Professional english version

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to help. I installed OPSI 4.0.1.28 on ubuntu server 10.04. I am trying to install Windows 7 - 64 bit but keep getting the german language version. I am using the configuration panel at 192.168.x.xx/configed to start the netboot product. I did not have an english option in the language selection so I added en-EN but it did not work (in the Configuration for client section of Netboot products). I installed the opsi-admin tools on a win7 workstation and was hoping the opsi-Configed-EN_en launcher would make a difference but I get a "java web start launcher has stopped working" error. I do not know linux well, basically research most everything I have to do with it. How do I install english language version of windows?

we will soon provide a better opsi-template

1.: you should add a valid Language-Code as "system_language" in the opsi Managementinterface, for instance en-US

2.: copy the template for the unattend.xml from
opsi/unattend.xml.template custom/unattend.xml

3.: Edit custom/unattend.xml

and change ever ocurrings "de-DE" with "en-US"

Save the file

Download for instance

Move your customized custom/unattend.xml to another place.

Install the new package with

Code: Alles auswählen

opsi-package-manager -p ask -i win7-x64_4.0.1-8.opsi

Recustomize the new custom/unattend.xml
