we hereby release updated opsi packages in opsi 4.2 stable and testing.
The windows and opsi-local-image netboot packages contain a change with UEFI handling. Some UEFI behave different and out out specification. This change is meant to prevent non specified behaviour.
The linux netboot packages on the other hand contain a change in preparation for the upcoming opsi 4.3 release.
The Grub bootloader for UEFI installations within the opsi-linux-bootimage showed strange behaviour on some specific clients in customer environments. We therefore made a change in our Grub code to correct this bug. In addition the opsi-linux-bootimage now runs on Linux kernel 6.5.12.
The opsi-client-agent does't use the winexe for some time. The package was updated to use another way to substitute the winexe. Therefore the opsi-windows-support package doesn't request the winexe as a dependency anymore and from now on the winexe package is not maintained from our side on the openBuildService.
For opsi-configed there will be only bugfixes in 4.2, as we are concentrating on the further development of opsi-configed 4.3. In this release there are bugfixes for stable and testing:
