today we have released more packages for opsi 4.2 in testing and stable.
opsi license
We are currently revising the format of the opsi licence file (/etc/opsi/modules) and in this context there are some changes in the licence checks in Testing.
Old licences (module files) will continue to work.
With the new testing procedure, the client limits of the licences will be checked correctly.
This means that if there are not enough licences for a module, the corresponding module will be switched off.
Of course, there is some goodwill in the number of clients.
Before the corresponding packages come to Stable with one of the next releases, you should check whether you have licensed enough clients.
If this is not the case, there are several options:
- Buy additional licences
- Remove clients you do not need
- Request a temporary activation from us to clarify whether or not additional licences should be purchased.

opsi-client-agent installation
As an additional option for the initial installation of the opsi-client-agent under Windows, the opsi-client-agent is now available as an MSI.
This accepts the same parameters as service_setup.cmd, oca-installation-helper.exe and the installer and works in the same way.
