HWaudit product

Hi Expert,

I try to install hwaudit and swaudit on one desktop that running on windows xp. after installation done, only swaudit only success to install and hwaudit failed to install with status unknown. I try to other desktop running with windows 7 and latest, all success to install. i try many time for hwaudit on windows xp desktop, but result still same. why this happen?

(i used OPSI 4.1)

Hi

the hwaudit binary is compiled for each Windows Version (7/8.1/10). Windows XP is not supported by the package any more.

so that mean there are no chance to use hwaudit for windows xp.

Do have any other ways to monitor hardware for windows XP since in my environment 70% desktop still used windows XP

Can't tell you for sure if they work correctly with an opsi 4.1 server.

Is there any reason for still using XP?

i will try it and lets you know. as usual the main reason is cost of replacement. so i have a hard time to monitor and maintain those XP machine.

the old version is working. i install hwaudit_4.0.5-3 on my opsi 4.1 and install it to windows xp pc, It work....I can see hardware details
on opsi config. many thanks for your advice and help
