Hello,
I thought everyhting worked after the DHCP problem but, the product configuration doesn't work.
When I change the action to "setup" by one of the netbook products, it works. Hardware inventory, memtest. But when I say action "setup" with any of the product configuration it doesn't work.
When the client reboots I see it get a IP from the DHCP, then you see it loads some packet from PXE, but it doesn't start something like with the netbook products. What is going wrong?
- I can't find some errors... (maybe I don't looked in the right logs...?!)
- There is no C:\tmp map on de client with client logfiles??? but that's because preloader is not installed???
Thanks in advance.
Product configuration doesn't work
Re: Product configuration doesn't work
Hi,
the preloginloader has to be installed on the system before you can install any localboot product. See chapter 5.3 of the Opsi manual how to install it.
Best regards,
Thomas Schlien

Re: Product configuration doesn't work
Thnx both for your fast reply. I forgot to tell I already did:
•Login with a administrative account, mount the opt_pcbin share of the opsi server and
call the script install\preloginloader\service_setup.cmd
I tried it serval more times and now im getting 2 log files in C:/tmp/
But still no preloader... im using a existing client.
thanks in advance
EDIT:
opsiserver:~# /opt/pcbin/install/preloginloader/opsi-deploy-preloginloader -u acroadmin stage_pc01
Password:
[error] Failed to read opsi modules file '/etc/opsi/modules': [Errno 2] No such file o r directory: '/etc/opsi/modules'

[error] ERROR: Failed to mount clients c$ share: Command '***********************' fai led (255):
mount error 13 = Permission denied
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs)
Perhaps you have to disable the firewall or simple file sharing on the windows machine (folder options)?

I'm using the right user and password...
EDIT2: It now works after 2 reboots:s
Thanks everything is working right now ..I hope..
