Multiple Depots

Hello,

We have one central server and now on two other locations two depot servers.
When I install opsi-client on one location with the url of the depot server responsible for that location it is still managed under the main server.
On the depot server I can't see any clients, they all go to main config server.

How do we configure which depot will be responsible for installation etc for their respective locations

Hi.

One solution (which we are currently using) is the "Dynamic Depot" with Network Addresses.

The Client is still managed by the Main Server and the Client is asking the Main Server for any Commands. After this the Client will mount the Depot_Share from the Depot, depending on the Network.

The opsi-client-agent installer has a parameter `--depot` which you can use to explicitely assign that client to a specific depot.
Afterwards you can change the associated depot with our tools. E.g. opsi-configed (right click on client and then "assign to depot")
