Hello, I've got a problem, as in the subject - OPSI Kiosk does not recognize apps that are already installed on system.
For example I've got 7-zip installed from downloaded .exe, and Kiosk does not see that I alredy Have it installed, neither does it show update option. It only shows option to Install it.
How to make the Kiosk recognize apps installed on system? and make it compare the version available from OPSI

Re: opsi kiosk Not recognizing installed apps
Hello,
that does not work. The kiosk only handle and regocnize software which was installed with opsi, e.g. is installed via opsi-package on the opsi-server.
Best wishes

Re: opsi kiosk Not recognizing installed apps
Hi Jan,
Would it be possible to run a script on server that is triggered by user opening the KIOSK (During startup, the kiosk establishes a connection with the server, and at that point, I would like a script to be triggered)

Hi,
this doesn't work and is not a good idea for security reasons.
The kiosk runs only opsi-products on the client for products which are assigned to the kiosk for that client.
Best wishes,
Jan
