Hi,
So the question is simple - I have Mac and Windows users.
I've made groups for Mac software.
And I've made groups for Win software.
There is also this default software on demand group.
Problem is - config server only has one default group for software-on-demand that you can change to whatever.
I can change the s-o-d group for each client but I have a lot of clients and it's not optimal.
Is there a way to detect client OS and set to it the appropriate sod group?
Should this be done when assigning new clients, or can it be done later?
Thanks
Mat

Re: How to get different software on Mac and Win Kiosk?
Hi Mat,
in the configed, the opsi managment interface, you can make groups for clients (left side of the configed) and assign clients to them.
Best wishes,
Jan
in the configed, the opsi managment interface, you can make groups for clients (left side of the configed) and assign clients to them.
- Make a group "mac-clients" and a group "win-clients".
- Assign the respective clients to the groups.
- Double click on a group. This will select all clients of this group.
- Go to the tab host-parameter and set the respective software group(s) to the host-parameter software-on-demand.product-group-ids.
Best wishes,
Jan
