[resolved] OPSI Kiosk not working for MacOS

Good day to you all!

I have an issue with making OPSI Client Kiosk work for MacOS - I installed the agent via server and I can install kiosk via opsi-configed.
But when I open Kiosk on client machine the two loading bars appear and shortly after a message "Failed to initialize opsiconnection".

I tested it with Monterey and Catalina - opsi is version 4.2 - was updated today(Please let me know if I missed some crucial info)

The same Kiosk is working for Windows machines.

I looked through the manual for MacOS clients, the OPSI Manual and found nothing - even some topics that would suggest that Kiosk will only work for Windows and Linux machines.

Do you know if I'm, maybe lacking some config on server, do I need to treat MacOS machines differently?

Hello,

please download the new m-opsi-client-kiosk package (Version 4.1.1.17-4) from:

https://download.uib.de/4.2/experimenta ... localboot/

and try this one.

Thanks for the response.
I haven't tried with experimental before, and so I did, but it did not help my issue :/
To clarify - I changed testing repository to include experimental link and updated the depot with "opsi-package-updater" and installed via opsiconfd

I think I'm missing something about Mac security or smb shared drive handling.

The thing that concerns me the most is the bottom line of "kiosk" window, for Windows it states:
"Connected to https://localhost:4441/kiosk as <client name> on <opsi server name>"
while on mac it just goes:
"Connected to https://localhost:4441/kiosk as <client name> on "

Like it does not see the server or maybe the port?

I can connect to the server and get to its opsi_depot from all of my mac machines.

Well it worked now - must have made a mistake when updating the package and the version I landed with was 17-3

It works for 17-4 - Thanks!
