Hello,
Due to security concerns, we are not permitted to have any Windows or Samba fileshares on our network.
I would like to be able to use Opsi for automated installing Windows via PXE boot, and then join my Windows domain when complete.
Is there a way to set up Opsi to load Windows via SFTP or some other access method than fileshare, or would Opsi work if separated off in a DMZ, etc.?
How to secure Opsi fileshares
Re: How to secure Opsi fileshares
Hello
yep, with opsi 4.2 it should be possible using webdav instead of samba.
As always mentioned:
productive opsi installations we recommend maintainance + support contracts which are the base of opsi development.

Ok, I'm assuming I would set
winpenetworkmode
to false to prevent the WinPE install from trying to access the network share?

Re: How to secure Opsi fileshares
Yes
Please keep in mind to increase your winpe partition size as your installfiles and drivers are most probably larger than 4GB.

Mathias
