Change dispatch.conf from file to mysql

Hi !

I would like to know how can I "migrate" my registered computers from file configuration to mysql without losing any data ?

Did I just need to change it in the dispatch.conf file ?

Can you explain me how it works and how to do that ? Thanks a lot

You can migrate between Backends with OPSI-Convert:

don't forget to create a backup of your opsi backend !

When I edit my dispatch.conf file it's the same configuration. Did I have a bad utilisation of that command ?

There's a difference between -V (capital) and -v .
-V shows only the version and exits, ignoring any other parameter.
-v increases the verbosity of the program's output.

opsi-convert -v -a file mysql should do the trick.

And as Tobias said before: Get a full backup.

Please, run it again and send the output to a file:
opsi-convert -v -a file mysql > t.log
And post the results here.

Yes you must change it in the dispatch.conf

I change the dispatch.conf mysql=>file with :

But on my graphic interface I loose my hosts. So I thought it was a problem on the conversion :

- I change the dispatch.conf to file.
- I restore my yesterday save
- My graphical interface come back fine
- I did a full uninstall of mysql
- Clean install of mysql


So I rerun the command with log and I have some errors :

It's strange because yesterday I ran the command and it rush 100% without errors. Any idea ?
