Problem installing Windows 7 after driver integration

After integrating new drivers into the Windows 7 netboot product, the installation now fails in STARTNET.CMD with:

Waiting for network...
Mountresult: 1231: Can't reach destination..

The error seams to affect all computers (all 2 we are testing on)

I did the following to integrate the new drivers (from driverpacks.net):

Copied the drivers /opt/pcbin/install/win7-x64/drivers/drivers/ in new catalogs.

Changed to /opt/pcbin/install/win7-x64/ on the server and ran:

opsi-setup –set-rights ./drivers
./create_driver_links.py

Have I done anything wrong ? The drivers seems to be loaded onto the Windows PC.

do you have DELL Clients? The problem ist, that DELL Clients sometimes need additional drivers for Windows PE.
You can include the PE Drivers directly in the windows PE image.

you can also try to use the new ByAudit Feature. Look at the hardware inventory of your client. You need the Vendor ID and the Model ID.

Go to drivers/drivers/additional/ create a folder named "byAudit" in this folder you need one named like your vendor and in this folder you need one folder named like your model

for example: You have a Dell Latitude E6500
Create under byAudit a Folder named "Dell Inc." (you can create folders with a dot via Terminal) inside this folder you must create a folder "Latitude E6500"

run a set-rights and create_driver_links.

No we have Lenovo clients, and they installed "fine" (with a lot of drivers missing) before I integrated new drivers into OPSI.

okay. Then look at this driver:

remove this driver from your driver folder and recreate the driver links.

Unfortunately that did not sovle the problem.

look at the lenovo download page for Windows PE drivers.

can you ping from the CMD of the PE?

ping works, but only for 127.0.0.1

ipconfig show no configured network, it seems like it did not get a IP from DHCP even as it just used it to boot the first part of the installation.

I if run ipconfig /renew from the PE CMD, I can see in the DHCP logs

DHCPOFFER
DHCPDISCOVER

but the client PC newer returns the DHCPREQUEST so ipconfig just times out ?
