opsi winxp installation
opsi winxp installation
hi,
i'm just testing winxp installation, the problem is that after copying the files and starting the actual setup process, windows installer complains about not finding 'hwraidsk1' file.
after skipping that file, all seems fine for now, but, is there a way of getting rid of that error?
additionally, is it possible to change the texts in the client to english instead of german?
thanks

Re: opsi winxp installation
Hi!
Change lang=de to lang=en.
This seems to be a problem regarding one of your device drivers in /opt/pcbin/install/drivers/drivers.wardenik hat geschrieben: windows installer complains about not finding 'hwraidsk1' file.
Please edit the file /tftpboot/linux/pxelinux.cfg/install on the server.wardenik hat geschrieben: additionally, is it possible to change the texts in the client to english instead of german?
Change lang=de to lang=en.

Sorry, I meant:
/opt/pcbin/install/winxppro/drivers/drivers
/opt/pcbin/install/winxppro/drivers/drivers

So, it's quite empty.. am I missing some package? or should I just get the file from somewhere and put it inside there?

Re: opsi winxp installation
ok, seems no to be an driver issue, perhaps there are some files missing in /opt/pcbin/install/winxppro/i386 ?
Re: opsi winxp installation
hm, well, don't think so, because I've just copied the whole dir from a CD.
but I'll do it again and check other CD and then we will see...
thanks!

Re: opsi winxp installation
Ok, that might be a stupid question.
The installation ended, installing additional things when rebooting works, but...
After the installation is finished, the "open pc server integration" screen with a "stop installation" button stays..
and it just does nothing.
Bootmode : BKSTD
Status: OK
erm, what's wrong?

Re: opsi winxp installation
after second try, i have run the setup process again.
and again, the python is installed ok , and afterwards the OPSI windows pop up and nothing happens...
also there is a problem with python installation because it asks you to click 'run' twice to run the setup process.

Re: opsi winxp installation
Hi,
Some additional information. The window is called netmount.
The interesting thing is that if I disable the network prior to booting, then the windows starts and I can login.
Any help on this?
It looks like the client is waiting for something...
