I have a couple of PCs that need the UEFI boot because of the NVMe drive.
If I turn on the option "Above 4G decoding", under PCIe/PCI/PnP settings in the bios the bootimage is not loaded. ELILO loads the needed files, the last one is miniroot-x64.bz2
After this nothing happens any more, at least not for half an hour. Turning off this option in the bios makes it so the bootimage is working correctly.
The motherboard is a Supermicro X11SSQ. Why had I set this option? If this is disabled, and one chooses a large aperture size for the on-board video then the whole thing just hangs.
This could be an issue with just this motherboard, or an issue with ELILO/bootimage. Is this a known issue?

Re: uefi bootimage and PCI decoding
Hi,
after some search on the internet I think it'd go with disabling the setting for installation.
There seem to be some general issues with this setting if you want to run Linux.
Kind regards
Niko
