xpconfig firewall

Beitrag von u111979 »

I tried to deactivate an XP firewall within the paket xpconfig with the command

Code: Alles auswählen

netsh firewall set opmode disable
The return message is OK but the firewall ist not turned off.
Providing the same command in an shell with administration-rights works well.
Has anybody an idea?

Thanks Thomas

Hi,

i could not reproduce your problem.
My firewall is disabled after that command.
Perhaps there is a (Group) policy in your System , which not permit to disable the Firewall by the Administrator ?

Thank you for the hint. Switching off the firewall in the gpo solves the problem in the way the firewall is off and no longer changable on the client. So long the firewall was not mentioned in the gpo, so I still do not understand what happens but will care no longer.
