Re: bug in newprod
This is not a trivial modification.
If you need this enhancement, we could implement it for you.
Should we write an offer?

Re: bug in newprod
Hi,
Well, looking at the source, it doesn't seem a big hassle.
But yes, maybe not an official offer, but just an unofficial price for that
Thanks.

Re: bug in newprod
Hi wardenik,
I have some problems to give you the exact price because j.schneider
is in holidays right now and will be back in 3 weeks.
In order to have a always switch for netboot products
we have not only to modify opsi-newprod but also the opsipxeconfd
and some of the opsi libraries.
So I think the minimum will be one day (640 €).
But this is no offer.
You will get a well calculated price when j.schneider is back.
Meanwhile a workaround:
Switching a netboot product to setup creates a pipe in /tftpboot/linux/pxelinux.cfg .
If you cat these pipe to a file and rename the file to the name of the pipe,
these netboot product act like 'always'.
does this help ?

Re: bug in newprod
hi,
thanks.
this is a workaround that requires logging in to a console which is not good.
but there are a lot simpler ways to do that.
one is just to write a script for cron that checks if a netproduct is always state, and if so, that makes sure that the PXE link is there and if not, recreate it.
as simple as that.
the same is (i think) with opsi itself. this is (for now, because I didn't have time to check that thoroughly) a one line change in a place that unlinks the pxe config to check if it is not an 'always' setup. but I will check that later
thanks.
