Source for English manuals

Beitrag von lpanand »

Hi,

Obviously a lot of effort has been put into the documentation, particularly translating it into English. There are a few rough edges in the manual though -- what is the preferred way to send corrections to the manual?

I look in the Subversion repository -- but I could not find where / how the manuals are made.

Regards,
Anand

Hi,

every help at the documentation is welcome.

The documents are written with openoffice at the moment (suggestions and experience with other systems are also welcome).

The easiest way to send corrections is to do this in the openoffice documents in the mode 'record changes' so that we can see what was corrected.
At the moment I am restructure the manuals:
- a new 'Getting Started' Manual with Topics Installation, First Steps and integrating own Software,
- a Opsi-Manual for all the other stuff

I hope these restructured manuals will be ready in the next days.
You will find now the openoffice documents at:
http://download.uib.de/opsi3.4/experimental/doc/

For productive opsi installations we recommend support contracts.
