OK new issue
(I installed the server on different hardware, one without any SATA chips in it at all.)
when i boot from PXE it comes up fine BUT it says
"automatically booting from local hard disk in 0 seconds"
is this the PXE image? and how do i get this so that its default isn't 0 seconds but instead say 30 seconds? Or is this a motherboard issue?
Thanks!
EDIT:
the password stuff is taken care of now... but to add to the above question:
when i do hwinvent and switch it to setup, and then restart the PC, the PXE boot immediately chooses the opsi boot like i want it to...
when I do this with winxppro, it brings that menu, and it then pushes to the HDD boot after 0 seconds.
i just changed winxppro config to askbeforeinstal to false so we will see
EDIT2: there we go its that flag that needs to be set to false!
cool stuff here guys
PXE boot issue
Re: PXE boot issue
Hello,
its a bios-issue (see http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2008 ... 10522.html)
check the new testing-bootimage
http://download.uib.de/opsi3.3/testing/ ... -1_all.deb
default Bootimage is now default.nomenu
even with the workaround in the cited thread there sometimes Problems with buggy bios.
