Kiosk to run a script on run or update itself

Is there already a method to update the kiosk and/or is there a way I can run a script when the user starts the kiosk?

I'd like it to sync it's product icons from the server but it would also be useful to be able to add custom scripts that are always run. I need this through the kiosk as most of our users are remote and always connected via VPN.

Have you found a way to do it? I would want to do run a script on server after user opens kiosk.
