bootimage Netzwerktreiber I219-LM nicht vorhanden?

Moin,

wir wollen gerade einen neuen Notebooktyp ins Portfolio nehmen und wollten den mal mit win10-x64 betanken.
Leider landen wir beim bootimage (20161221-1.2) in der Maske für die Netzwerkkonfiguration. Als root angemeldet und ifconfig aufgerufen wird kein Ethernet-Interface angezeigt. lspci zeigt als Ethernet Controller "Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (4) I219-LM (rev 21)".
Der I219-V wird vom Bootimage schon eine ganze Weile unterstützt...

Das einzige aktuellere Bootimage finde ich bislang unter [experimental bzw. testing]/xUbuntu1604x. Wir haben aber opsi auf einem CentOS7 laufen. Ist der entsprechende Treiber im neueren Bootimage unterstützt? Gibt es eine Möglichkeit den sonst zu integrieren?

Also der Treiber ist seit einiger Zeit drin (Intel e1000)

Ein Bootimage aus Testing/experimental wird dir nicht viel helfen, da dort nichts an Treibern gemacht wurde.

Was gibt denn

Zudem würde ich mal was bei

Zudem ist ein Log immer gern gesehen ;)
Kann man ja per USB Stick vom Client ziehen

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, welche Logs interessant wären.
kern.log und syslog waren beide zu lang für den Text, kann man Dateien anhängen?

Wir haben mal ein bisschen recherchiert.
1. Der e1000e-Treiber, der im bootimage läuft ist auf jeden Fall älter, als der derzeit verfügbare.
2. Das bootimage lädt den Treiber, scheint dann aber kein passendes device dazu zu finden.

Daraus würde ich schlussfolgern:
Entweder ist die Firmware des NICs an diesem Gerätetyp (Fujitsu Lifebook U757) zu alt für den Treiber, oder der Treiber ist zu alt für die vorhandene NIC-Version.

Wäre es möglich den e1000e in aktueller Fassung in das bootimage zu integrieren?

Hallo Mathias,

vielen Dank schon mal für deine Mühe!

Leider hat auch der neue Kernel keinerlei Verwendung für die Netzwerkkarte.
Der Treiber wird geladen. Das Gerät wird gefunden und angezeigt, aber nicht in Betrieb genommen. Keinerlei Fehlermeldungen dazu zu entdecken. Als wäre der Treiber für das Gerät gar nicht zuständig...

Wir grübeln jetzt, ob wir uns ein Ubuntu 1604 bauen müssen, um den Treiber mal neu zu integrieren und das dann auf dem Notebook zu testen.

Hast du sonst noch eine Idee?
