Probleme bei Client Installation

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe mir vor kurzem Opsi heruntergeladen und wollte dies jetzt mal testen, die Installation war recht einfach alles nach dem Opsi Handbuch durchgeführt. Jetzt wollte ich auf meinem ersten Client eine XP Installation durchführen und alles lief recht reibungslos. Es erscheint ein blauer Bildschirm wo dann steht vorbereiten der XP installation und dann auf einmal kommt eine Fehlermeldung die lautet: fehler bei der XP installation No such file or directory /mnt/opsi/install/winxppro/i386.

Mich wundert dies, da man ja den i386 Ordner von der XP-CD laut Handbuch in das Verzeichnis /opt/pcbin/install/winxxpro/i386 einfügen soll. Habe dann mal dieses Verzeichnis laut Fehlermeldung angelegt, aber danach erscheint immer noch die gleiche Fehlermeldung.

Achso noch eine Kleinigkeit ,bei der Hardwareerkennung "hwinvent" taucht nach einer weile auf dem blauen Bildschirm eine Fehlermeldung auf die mir sagt das unter dieser IP Adresse kein Server zu finden ist, dort steht mir eine unbekannte IP Adresse die ich auch nicht vergeben habe, aber man hat ja dort dann die Möglichkeit seine richtige IP vom Server + Benutzer und Passwort einzutragen danach läuft die Hardwareerkennung auch ohne Probleme durch. Kann man diese IP Adresse irgendwo ändern, so das man dort nicht immer die IP Adresse eintragen muß?

Ich würde mich für ein paar Tips sehr freuen

Hallo Ralf,

das i386 Verzeichnis muss wie im Handbuch beschrieben auf dem Server unter /opt/pcbin/install/winxppro/i386 liegen.
Das Verrzeichnis /opt/pcbin wird als share freigegeben und vom bootimage unter /mnt/opsi gemountet.
Wenn das bootimage das i386 Verzeichnis nicht findet, so stimmen evtl. die Rechte nicht (siehe Installationshandbuch)

Was hwinvent betrifft:
unter welcher IP-Nummer sucht er den Server ?
Auf dem Server müsste unter /var/log/opsi/bootimage ein log von dem Client existieren.
Bitte mal posten.

Hallo Herr Oertel,

also ich habe meinen Opsi-Server die IP 192.168.2.100 gegeben DNS ist 192.168.2.1 genauso der gateway 192.168.2.1

Hallo,

bitte einmal im Configeditor den Button zur Server-Konfiguration anklicken und dann in der Netzwerkkonfiguration den Wert "nextbootServerURL" auf "https://192.168.2.100:4447" setzen.

Hallo Ralf,

funktioniert die XP-Installation nun auch?
War das Problem bei den Berechtigungen?
Eine andere, mögliche Fehlerquelle ist folgendes:

Es muss auf die Groß- und Kleinschreibung geachtet werden!

Auf der Windowscd heisst der Ordner I386, auf dem opsi muss er i386 heissen.

Hallo Christian,

danke für Deinen Tip, genau das war mein Problem das statt i386 I386 im Verzeichnis befunden hat. Ich habe es dann gestern Abend noch gesehen:).
