Hallo Zusammen,
vor ein paar Tagen hab ich unseren OPSI-Server aktualisiert und danach klappten keine Netboot-Installationen mehr. Mittlerweile bin Ich soweit, dass die Netboot-Installation im Legacy-Modus wieder funktioniert. Im UEFI-Modus klappt das ganze leider nachwievor nicht. Die Logs waren mir ab diesem Zeitpunkt leider auch keine große Hilfe mehr.
Was mir aufgefallen ist, ist das die Pipes die unter //tftpboot/linux/pxelinux.cfg angelegt werden (Im Schema 01-"MAC-Adresse") nicht mehr mit den Berechtigungen "opsiconfd:opsifileadmins" versehen sind, sondern mit "root:root". das ist auch momentan der einzige Unterschied, den Ich zu vor dem Update feststellen konnte. Kann das eventuell der Grund sein? Und falls ja, wie biege Ich das wieder Grade?

was genau funktioniert denn unter UEFI nicht?
Kommt die Anfrage am opsi Server an?
Schau mal unter /var/log/syslog bzw /var/log/messages unter RPM Systemen ob dort die Anfrage ankommt und die Pipe auch ausgelesen wird.

der Rechner scheint gar nix zu finden, nach einigen Sekunden Wartezeit bleibt nur die Meldung "Selected Boot Device failed - Press any key to reboot the System". Reproduzierbar auf allen Rechnern mit denen Ich es teste.
Unter /var/log/messages findet sich nur folgendes:
Folgendes findet sich allerdings unter /var/log/opsi/opsipxeconf.log, Ich hab da (hoffentlich) alles an Vertraulichen Infos rausgezogen, was nicht hier so Präsent rumstehen sollte

unter /var/log/messages sieht man aktuell nur Legacy Clients, keinen UEFI Client. Hast Du die UEFI Weiche im DHCP stehen?

ich gehe davon aus, dass du folgende Passage aus der Doku meinst:
Der Abschnitt ist im DHCP vorhanden, wir haben damit grade auch mal ein wenig experementiert, leider ohne Erfolg.
Mir ist jedoch aufgefallen, dass bei uns keine "shimx64.efi.signed" vorhanden ist. Eventuell ist das ja relevant?
Außerdem ist aufgefallen, dass im Messages grade keine Einträge angelegt werden, da die Pipe noch vorhanden ist. Sobald ich die Pipe entferne, wird wieder ein neuer Eintrag im Messages angelegt (Schema siehe Oben). Und auch im opsipxeconfd.log werden keine neuen Einträge generiert, solang die Pipe bereits vorhanden ist.
Die Pipe hab ich mal testweise gelöscht, dann taucht im opsipxeconfd.log folgender Fehler auf. Grundlegend scheint die Anfrage des Clients also anzukommen.

wenn die shimx64.efi.signed nicht da ist, solltest du mal dein Bootimage aktualisieren, das ist dann zu alt, opsipxeconfd ebenfalls.

ohne die Datei kann der UEFI Netboot mittels shim nicht klappen.
Es ist auch relativ frisch das nicht Secureboot Modul Käufer die shim für UEFI nutzen können.
Irgendjemand hat die Änderung gemacht, aber den Server nicht aktualisiert.
Mit einem Update der Pakete sollte das behoben sein, dein Paketstand ist auch nicht mehr der frischeste

nach längerer Pause melde Ich mich endlich zurück. Nach einigem Hin und Her und vielen Hindernissen bin ich endlich dazu gekommen den Server zu aktualisieren. Jetzt stehen wir aber vor dem Problem, dass sich keine Software mehr installieren lässt, da der user pcpatch die Samba-Freigabe nicht mehr mounten darf.
Der Client-Agent logt folgendes:
Wir haben die Configs rauf und runter geprüft, die Berechtigungen gecheckt und rumprobiert bis der Arzt kommt. So bleibt mir erneut nichts anderes, als mich an euch zu wenden und zu hoffen, dass ich hier Hilfe bekomme.

So wie immer, kommt man direkt nach dem verfassen eines Forenbeitrags zu einem großen Schritt in die richtige Richtung.
Mittlerweile bin Ich soweit, dass wieder Software installiert werden kann. Allerdings nur mit einem extra Schritt, den ich ungerne auf ~600 Clients durchführen würde:
In der opsiclientd.conf habe ich den Eintrag username von "pcpatch" zu "*domain*\pcpatch" geändert. Durch das epxlizite angeben der Domäne funktioniert das ganze nun. Wie bereits gesagt ist es ja eher nicht im Sinne des Erfinders, das bei 600 Clients zu ändern. Wenn ich das richtig verstehe wird die opsiclientd.conf vom Client bei Verbindung mit dem Server selbstständig aktualisiert. Jetzt stellt sich mir nur die Frage, wo die entsprechenden Settings sind, die ich anpassen muss.
Aus der Doku und der Suche haben sich in meinem Kopf leider nur noch mehr Fragezeichen ergeben...

In der opsiclientd.conf habe ich den Eintrag username von "pcpatch" zu "*domain*\pcpatch" geändert. Durch das epxlizite angeben der Domäne funktioniert das ganze nun. Wie bereits gesagt ist es ja eher nicht im Sinne des Erfinders, das bei 600 Clients zu ändern. Wenn ich das richtig verstehe wird die opsiclientd.conf vom Client bei Verbindung mit dem Server selbstständig aktualisiert. Jetzt stellt sich mir nur die Frage, wo die entsprechenden Settings sind, die ich anpassen muss.
Aus der Doku und der Suche haben sich in meinem Kopf leider nur noch mehr Fragezeichen ergeben...
