New opsi packages in 4.0.6 Testing

Beitrag von m.scalese »

Dear opsi-users,

Today we are publishing a series of small bugfixes for 4.0.6 in Testing.

opsi linux boot image:

In the new opsi linux boot image version 4.0.6 the Syslinux version has been updated to 6.0.3. This could bring sporadic issues with some old hardware. An issue was reported to us with the hardware model from Dell: 790 Optiplex. Other hardware with issues is currently not reported to us. If a BIOS upgrade is not available, or maybe if many of these hardware configurations are currently productive, we recommend the manual downgrade to the old version of Syslinux before applying the current testing packages. To simplify the previously named downgrade, we have made available the old Syslinux version with a small readme. The same can be found under:

http://download.uib.de/opsi4.0/archiv/o ... nux/README
http://download.uib.de/opsi4.0/archiv/o ... ngrade.zip

In detail, is hereby approved as testing:

OS packages:
python-opsi (4.0.6.23-2)
opsi-utils (4.0.6.8-1)
opsi-linux-support (1.0-8)
