Nun habe ich zwar mit ein wenig Recherche eben herausgefunden, dass es mit winexe auch einen Versuch gibt, die PsExec-Funktionalität unter Linux zu implementieren (http://sourceforge.net/projects/winexe/), das scheint aber noch recht instabil zu sein ... Hat vielleicht jemand schon Praxiserfahrunge...

Du kannst doch einfach einen validen A-Record im DNS erzeugen und auf die IP vom OPSI-Server zeigen lassen, dann lösen das Deine Clients doch auch vernünftig auf.

Da bist Du nicht der/die Erste... Wichtig für das Verständnis ist, Du musst in jedem Fall ein Skript (Winst-Skript) um die Installationsdatei von Firefox (.exe) herumbauen. Schau doch bitte mal im Ordner opsi-client-agent innerhalb der Freigabe oder via Shell: /opt/pcbin/install/opsi-client-agent. Dort sollte sich die Datei befinden.
Wenn in der Freigabe noch garnichts ist, dann mal initial "bestücken", z.B. via opsi-product-updater -i -vv
