Configed version 4.1 standalone client?

Hello,

Is there a standalone configed installer for 4.1 like was for 4.0?

We used the 'opsi-confige-setup.exe' to install version 4.0.

Re: Windows 10 license doesn't allow imaging?

Yes, Windows 7 OEM versions and vanilla versions of Windows 7 had different licensing and keycodes. Windows 10 is different. With Windows 10, the keycode is actually stored in the BIOS of each machine. The powershell command to show what keycode is stored in the BIOS is: (Get-WmiObject -query "...

Windows 'scarecrow' account automatically created

Hello,

We're noticing that we use Opsi to unattended install Windows 10, it automatically creates a Windows account called 'scarecrow'.

What does this account do, and is the password always the same?

Re: Unable to use Opsi boot ISO with UEFI

Ok, great. I found a CD that I had made from opsi4.0.7-64bit-client-boot-cd_20170502.iso. I booted it on an E6430, and lshw runs without any errors. Windows 7 installs just fine in legacy MBR mode as well. If I boot the same opsi4.0.7-64bit-client-boot-cd_20170502.iso from a thumb drive made with ru...

Re: Unable to use Opsi boot ISO with UEFI

I tried, and I am able to UEFI PXE boot, and unattend install WIndows 7 OK on a Dell E7470. This is a newer laptop, so maybe some special PXE booting/Windows 7 configuration is needed to make UEFI PXE booting/Windows 7 installation work on older laptops. The version of lshw on opsi4.1.0-client-boot-...

Re: Unable to use Opsi boot ISO with UEFI

We would like to be able to do MBR installs as well as UEFI installs, as some of our computers are older and don't support UEFI boot over network (like the Dell E6420). When I the opsi4.1.0-client-boot-cd_20180108.iso 64 Bit Bootimage on an E7470, I get 'Segmentation fault' when running lshw. The 'S...

Re: Unable to use Opsi boot ISO with UEFI

This is happening on Dell 6420, Dell 6430, and Dell 7470 laptops so far. If I get to a command prompt and type 'lshw -xml' it starts to flash 'PCI' but then immediately displays: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what(): std::bad_alloc Aborted I downloaded and wrote ops...

Ok, what is the password to log in to the boot image/ISO?

It's happening on multiple computers.

Re: Windows 10 license doesn't allow imaging?

Ok, I'm still curious to try:

- Load Windows 10 on system, without putting a keycode in or activating it
- Imaging this to another system
- Try to activate both systems with different keycodes

I wonder if this would work, and if so, if this would be legal.

Windows 10 license doesn't allow imaging?

Hello, We have several Dell laptops, each with it's own Windows 10 keycode. We would like to be able to deploy Windows 10 to one laptop with opsi, configure it, sysprep it, then take an image with clonezilla to deploy it to the others. To try this, we deployed an unattended install to a laptop, did ...
