configed - Change Depot Server Window Size
Hello! I really like the new configed -- it's much faster and crashes much less frequently! However, I only have one depot server, but 400 clients. Is there a way to change the window size of the depot-server selection area so that it's smaller? Right now, every time I launch the configed, I manuall...

Re: Opsi 4.0.5 Experimental - Computer Model Names
Hello! Glad to help... I have done some more testing -- so far, all on Dell machines. The Latitude 6400 returns everything the same way it used to. The Vostro 3550 returns: Vostro 3550 (To be filled by O.E.M.) As long as I didn't break something, I'm fine with working around the issue by creating li...

Re: Opsi 4.0.5 Experimental - Computer Model Names
I made a linked folder to the already existing one and it worked just fine. I'll try it out on a couple other systems today.
I was more curious if I had missed a step in the upgrade that was causing this as an issue.
Thanks!
Brent

Re: java_runtime template
Thank you!
I am testing the uninstaller out now and it is working well for my Java installation as well as a quicktime opsi package I updated.
Thanks,
Brent

Opsi 4.0.5 Experimental - Computer Model Names
Hello: I was testing the new Opsi 4.0.5 Experimental code to see how the upgrade process was going to be. It looks like the Hardware Inventory information has changed slightly. On my test client machine (the same one I use to test most of my opsi changes with), it used to return: Vendor: Dell Inc. M...

Re: java_runtime template
Do you worry about a reboot after that's over (before installing?)?
BTW -- this is even more elegant. Thank you both for the response. I was struggling to keep my delsub updated with all the possible MSIDs and it was becoming incredibly complex/time consuming to debug.
Thanks!!

java_runtime template
Good afternoon everyone: I had been running into problems installing java on my Windows 8 machines using the existing opsi script I had. So I looked on the user scripts and have started using the one labeled java_runtime. (The other one there seems great but like a lot of overkill for me at this poi...

Re: iTunes for All Users?
Good idea -- but I just confirmed on my opsi test system that opening it directly, logged in as a new user, still runs the installer (itunes.msi) After the first run it is fine. What is also strange (at least to me) is that if I cancel the installer when logged in as a new user, it still launches iT...

Re: iTunes for All Users?
I agree about it being poop trying to make sense of that! I did have ALLUSERS=1 I did confirm that if I just ran the installer as one user, logged in as another and then clicked the iTunes shortcut, it would then go out and try to make some changes (probably to the registry as file dates didn't chan...
