During the installation of the opsi-client a rule called opsiclientd-control-port is added to the firewall of the client, but the scope isn't set for this rule.
I was wondering if I can set the ...

Is it possible to set the scope for the opsiclientd-control-port?
hi,
during client-installation the opsiclientd-control-port is added, but the IP-address of the depotserver is not set in the scope of the rule.
If I add it manually after the installation, a reboot or opsiclient-service restart removes the IP-address from the scope.

hi SisterOfMercy ,
It starting to look like a network-related problem and not a problem with the OPSI-backend. Some of the clients initially show the error and then are connecting to the opsi-server.
Perhaps in some cases DHCP isn't providing the IP-address quickly enough.

Re: upgrade from 4.0.4 to 4.0.6
Hi,
thanks for your reply!
about reconsidering Centos:
Although supported according to the release-notes, you don't recommend Centos 7? Do you suggest Debian instead?
Is this because OPSI 4.0.6 is using a Python-version which isn't available in Centos-repo (we would have to manually install (and ...

upgrade from 4.0.4 to 4.0.6
Hi,
we're planning upgrading opsi from version 4.0.4 to 4.0.6. Currently opsi runs on Debian 6.0.10, so first we'll have to upgrade the OS since the release notes state that this distribution isn't supported anymore.
We're using new hardware, the OS on the new server will be Centos 7.
