I've started from scratch, fresh opsi vm, test product packages, and win7 client. All is working with this so I'm guessing that something I did in the previous setups goofed them up..
and it works rather well so far.
Thanks!

Re: Windows 7 no product action requests set
(tried installing the swaudit product, though any and all products I have tried all fail) Here are the detailed logs. I haven't read through them yet, I'll dig through them deeper after I post this: opsiclientd.log [5] [Jan 28 19:58:55] [opsiclientd] Now using log-file 'c:\\tmp\\opsiclientd.log' (Lo...

Sure! I have entries for clientconnect and opsiconfd. The others were blank. clientconnect: [0] [Jan 25 21:55:02] [opsiclientd] Opsiclientd version: 0.7.8 (opsiclientd.pyo|3723) [0] [Jan 25 21:55:02] [opsiclientd] Commandline: C:\Program Files\opsi.org\preloginloader\opsiclientd.exe (opsiclientd.pyo...

Re: Windows 7 no product action requests set
(I posted a reply yesterday to this but it is not showing today - ugh.. hope this one goes through) Hi Bardo, thanks for replying. I am running with the latest packages from the testing directory. Updated them again last night just to be sure and still got the same behavior and same log output. I've...

Windows 7 no product action requests set
With a fresh OPSI 3.4 install (windows vista/7 license module included), I can not get any software products to install to a Win7 client. The client connects fine and quickly says that "No product action requests set". On the OPSI side, the product shows as being installed to the current v...

Re: Returning the installation results
This worked perfectly! Assigned the registry to a variable and then just checked for equality within that variable.
Thanks for the tip!

Re: Returning the installation results
Yes, this is what I'm looking for, thanks.. wInst can test for FileExists but is there a way to test for the existence of a registry key? I don't see such a boolean described in the wInst manual. I wouldn't want to rely on a file existence alone, but for some packages the combination of a file and a...

Returning the installation results
I've noticed in a couple of instances that an msi installation freezes or fails yet OPSI marks it as "Installed". Is there a way to script a success or failure result variable or something similar in the winst script to better inform OPSI of the installation status?
TIA!

Re: packages security warnings
I am having this problem on a win2k3 box, and the depot url is set to the netbios name just fine. The problem is that when I go to install swaudit, the preloginloader goes to install python and swaudit and the computer ends up sitting at two security warning prompts stating that the publisher could ...

Re: Unable to install preloginloader to win2k3
Finally got to the end of this... A freshly compiled winexe would not work, produced the same errors at first... But it did work after going to the win2k3 box and running 'sc delete winexesvc' Then, the new winexe worked fine, as did opsi-deploy-preloginloader with that winexe. Thanks for all of the...
