Re: Unattended Windows 10 deploy getting stuck on 'cannot file the the path specified'
I ran into this same issue today with an hp elitebook 830 G5, pressing F9 at system start and selecting the Windows boot manager entry correctly boots into Windows after installation. It appears I only need to press F9/select Win Boot mgr once, but my test install is still running atm, so a little e...

Re: $oem$ folder in custom not working
Thx, good call. Kinda strange that it only works for XP, since the general mechanics still work with Windows 10. But I was just curious. Doesn't really matter.

$oem$ folder in custom not working
Hi, I've got a script that I want to run via SetupComplete.cmd as described here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/add-a-custom-script-to-windows-setup I use a $OEM$ folder structure to deploy my SetupComplete.cmd script as described here: https://docs.microsoft....

re-initialize localboot products programmatically
hi, via the configed you can right-click > "re-initialize localboot products", which I always want to do when running a particular netboot product. is there a way to achieve this via a script? (opsi-script, a service call anything...) cheers, Ritch EDIT: just to clarify, I have a windows n...

Re: Sanity check network traffic
We have about active 140 workstations at the moment, of those some 50 are a also WAN clients. I've been busy with uploading capture images and other smaller files (MSI installers ertc.) in the past weeks, nowhere near at a rate of 20 GB per day though. I'll see if I can get bandwidth graphing going ...

Re: Sanity check network traffic
I guess I should've phrased it differently. I'm interested in what numbers other people have (i.e. RX/TX numbers, uptime, how many opsi clients "served", how many localboot/netboot performed). Ballpark only of course. Reason I ask is because I never monitored traffic before, yes I know :oo...

Sanity check network traffic
Just wondering whether the below stats are normal (ballpark range). Our environment is about 120 workstations (50 use WAN connections), we haven't had any large scale deployments (netboot or localboot) in the past 12 days. I'm particularly puzzled by the amount of RX bytes (250 GB), it seems unusual...

is it not possible/easier to create an mst (msi transform) which answers your questions, or repackage your msi with something like appdeploy repackager, http://www.itninja.com/file/view/2

Re: Recorded Installation Framework
you'll find more info when you search for repackaging, which normally snapshots the system before and after an installation, the end-result is usually exported as a msi file for a freeware repackager: http://www.itninja.com/community/dell-kace-appdeploy-repackager Note that this approach can lead to...

COLON character actually replaced by the word COLON
Just a fyi and not sure if this is just me, but if I set my forum language preferences to German I see ":" for instance by Posts:, Joined: etc. however if I set my language preference to English the ": " sometimes gets replaced by COLON, for instance PostsCOLON; JoinedCOLON etc.
